In My Own Backyard

I went to a production of “The Wizard of Oz” last night at my high school. The students did a good job; it was a production complicated by many scene changes and a large cast.

My ears perked up like Toto’s when Dorothy said:

“If I ever go looking for my heart’s desire again, I won’t look any further than my own back yard.”

This week I’ll stray beyond my own backyard, but I’m going to rest today. One eye on the Patriots and one eye closed.

You rest too.

Wizard of Oz. Woman goes to strange land and kills the first person she encounters. Then joins up with three outcasts to kill again.

You have very disturbing tastes in entertainment.

So you got me to check on the Pats just in time to see 20 yards in stupid defensive penalties, a great fumble recovery at the 1 yard line, Brady go three straight and out (think Welker’s going to be with the team past this season?), and another stupid defensive penalty and pretty much nothing to stop the Bills run. Thanks, just thanks.
